Are You Following The Masses?
Category:STRONG LEADERS WANTED!
Are you getting ahead, are you making an impact, are you loving your job? ….. or are you following the masses? Are you satisfied or are you looking for more, ….more meaning, more time, better health, more connections, more fulfilment, more financial freedom, more vacations? What can you do now to seek enjoyment in all areas of your life as opposed to accepting mediocrity.
With all the advancements made over the past 30 years, advancements in technology, communications, medical advancements, and scientific advances, are people creating better jobs and opportunities for themselves? We are no longer isolated to the news and media with in our communities but rather we have access to news and current events happening around the world. We have social media and technology that provides tremendous advancements where a person can go online and seek education and opportunities at a click of a button. How can one use these advancements to create a wonderful life?
The price of an education is exceeding the opportunities available when one graduates. There are fewer and fewer full time good paying jobs available and gone are the career opportunities where one stayed at a company for 30 years and retired with a comfortable pension at the age of 60. A degree is now required for basic entry into the work force. An article first posted by CBC news on June 15, 2016 is titled; “42% of Canadian jobs at high risk of being affected by automation”. and states that; “More than 40 per cent of the Canadian workforce is at high risk of being replaced by technology and computers in the next two decades, according to a new report…..”.
The baby boom generation is just entering their most expensive health care years. Baby Boomers were born between 1946 through 1964, a span of 18 years. The oldest boomer turned 60 in 2006. It is now 2017. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 7,918 people are turning 60 each day which amounts to 330 people turning 60 every hour.
What industries are advancing and what is no longer a viable career path? As a young person starting out, or an older person struggling with retirement options, how does one create a secure career path knowing that if one puts the hard work in, one can reach one’s dreams and goals.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
- Multiple Streams of Income; Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad teaches us that one needs multiply streams of income. Here is where the advances in technology can help. We can go online and research opportunities at our finger tips, literally! Building an online business is one option available if you have access to high speed internet and a strong desire to succeed.
- Strong Leadership; Simon Sinek, author of “Start with Why” teaches the importance of leadership and how our environment is extremely important! Simon states that ; “The goal is not to do business with everybody who need what you have, the goal is to do business with people who believe in what you believe”. In his video, he describes problems with the corporate environment and how the bottom line, numbers and costs are put ahead of people and long term benefits.
My online business provides an additional source of income and allows me to work around my present constraints and family obligations with out causing too much upheaval and minimal discomfort. The trick is to find something one can get passionate about but also to then surround yourself with positive motivated people who are invested in helping you succeed.
What gets you excited? What gets you motivated and how can you turn a passion into an additional stream of income?
WHAT’S MY NICHE?
What works for me? I love supporting people, encouraging those who are struggling, helping people get healthier and leading by example. I am passionate about moving forward and helping people get “unstuck”. Through my own struggles I have come to believe that there are many people among us who want a better life but lack the support, encouragement and some education on how to do this. Many of us come from struggles and dysfunction, often situations that were not in our control or of our choice. Regardless, it is important to keep moving forward and set goals and expectations that will lead to success which will lead to a better life.
In the health and wellness industry we have a real opportunity to help people get healthier both mentally and physically. This will help us avoid a future dependant on a health care system that is crumbling and eliminate the purchase of those pill boxes in our old age. By educating people about healthy choices and maintaining a proper weight, one can avoid illnesses such as diabetes and heart failure but in addition, significant support can be provided for the hidden illnesses such as depression and anxiety. We can better manage our environment and our physical needs which will result in better management of our symptoms and struggles.
The choice is yours, take a look at opportunities that allow you to build additional streams of income, so that you are better prepared to live a fuller life and create a fantastic future!
