Are you offering value? Is your brand uniquely qualified? Why would one choose you over your competitor? What are you bringing to the table that is worthy of someone’s time and attention?

If you are evaluating your career path and future and you are considering your options …. if you have looked at a few on line opportunities but are hesitating to take the plunge and enter into the world of working on line first consider and get clear about what type of work you want to do. I have a free e-book on building a business on line that out lines concepts to consider. click here : www.generateabusiness.com.

I am constantly reading and sourcing out information to help me in my business, information that I can pass on to my team and potential clients or customers.  Brendon Buchard, of  “The Charged Life” has an excellent video on youtube on Opportunity Overload How to Evaluate Opportunities and Make Good Choices.

Brendon lists 5 areas to look at;

  1.  ROI – Will there be a good return on investment. Will you make money in the next 12 months.
  2.  Future Value – Does the opportunity provide for a positive future both financially and emotionally 2, 5 or 10 years from now. business-money-pink-coins
  3.  Personal Development – Brendon emphasises the need for engagement, does the opportunity challenge you and inspirer you to increase your skills, knowledge and abilities.
  4.  Life Style – does this opportunity improve your lifestyle. If you are replacing one job for another, then the opportunity is less appealing. Will your family life improve, will the lives of those around you improve?  … or will you be working more hours away from home and your family?
  5.  Emotional Well Being – does the opportunity provide a sense of meaning, purpose, value, integrity or are you compromising on your core beliefs?  Does it impact your community in a positive or negative way, what is the social component? Are you truly offering something of value?

Once you have figured out if the business you are looking for meets your criteria, then, in my opinion, you need to look at the systems and support network you have available to follow, the tools which will provide you with an advantage when you are marketing your business, especially on line.  James Anderson  reported  that Salesforce  surveyed 5,000 marketers worldwide in 2015  as part of their “State of Marketing report”  and found that 70% of marketers spent more of their budget on social media advertising. “In 2014, 25% of marketers saw social media as a critical enabler of products and services and this increased to 64% in 2015.

  • 80% of marketers are using Facebook
  • 74% of marketers use Facebook to engage customers
  • 73% rated Facebook “very effective”
  • 19% rated Facebook “somewhat effective”
  • 8% rated Facebook “not very effective/ not effective at all”.

James Anderson goes on to mention additional media applications including Twitter, Linked etc. are also used for marketing online successfully.

I am passionate about the opportunity that I have. My opportunity meets all the requirements that Brendon Buchard mentions in his list of five key areas. I have both products that truly help people live healthier lives and a financial opportunity that provides a life style of freedom and choice, a business opportunity that you can actually pass onto your children for generations to follow.  I am able to build my online business at home using my computer and the internet and the  company supporting my opportunity is truly a global company and a leader in creating a safe environment at home and in the community.

I also have marketing support through the Freedom Project, a company that is 100% geared to supporting me build my business and they have provided the tools to market online using  facebook and through blogging that allow me to focus on my business as opposed to learning all this techie jargon, something I would fail miserably at, if left alone to find my way.

I hope that this month ahead provides you with the opportunity to advance your career path in a way that will provide the life style and freedom you are looking for! Look for value and longevity and make sure you are not trading one job for another. It is about leveraging time and building  a successful business you can be proud of! All the Best!
